Dutch Medic Backpack

Turn this backpack into the ultimate Bugout Bag, It has multiple velcro pouches on the inside, and room for a hydration bag with a metal grommet for the straw on top of the pack, On the sides you have straps with plastic clips to hold a rolled up blanket and a sleeping bag, you have a kidney belt, comfy padded shoulder straps and these packs still have the original red cross hidden behind a velcro flap. This is the perfect size for an everyday use, it roughly measures at 19"x 13"x 7".

Bob H. had this to say:

"First let me say that my pack was like new condition, but probably old because the interior coating of the pack was starting to separate from the fabric."

I'd like to describe the pack and features for anyone else who may be considering to purchase this pack. This is a large pack suitable for multi-day trips. In fact, I would say that it's large enough to use on a thru-hike of the AT. Tent, sleeping bag, cook kit and several days food should not be a problem.

Construction is as expected of any military pack. It's bulletproof, but heavier than most civilian packs, weighing in at around 5 lbs.

The suspension system is great. Very comfortable, and adjustable for the wearers' height making this an ideal youth pack that can be adjusted as the youth grows. The pack has 2 internal metal stays for stiffness that can be bent for comfort, and the padding on both the hip and shoulder straps are comfortable.

The pack has a large interior with no dividers and no provision for a bladder. The "brain" has an exterior pocket big enough for a poncho and other small items, and a small interior pouch only big enough for smallish electronic devices. Attached to the sides of the pack are 2 good sized pouches which are attached using big heavy zippers. I have a British army tarp (basha) which fits in the pouch when rolled up. Also, each pouch has a shoulder strap so that it can be used as a sing pack, or they can be zipped together and used as a small daypack. Underneath the pouches is a good sized pocket that is perfect for a water bottle, or the butt end of a long arm, which is held in place by the zippered pouches.

The front of the pack is covered in PALS webbing for using MOLLE gear and has plenty of compression straps.

On both top and bottom are located strap attachment points, which will let you attach tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat etc.to the outside of the pack.

"Overall I couldn't be happier with this pack. Buy one with confidence."
